born to a family of aristocrats, gillus was brought up as royalty. his father & mother are both well known business partners in tevayt & often travel for business. though he has travelled through almost all seven nations, all he remembers are ball rooms & offices.
as he got older, he began to notice the unethical business practices his parents followed through with.

the crowned heir visited a mining sight without his parents' permission. he peeked inside, shocked at what the saw. emancipated workers, strict & violent guards, unconcious people being carried. he couldn't believe that this belonged to his parents. he went to confront his father. he disagreed with gillus' position and dismissed him, but the young boy continued to fight. his punishment resulted in the bandages wrapped around his arm. he has never returned to his home since.
